“I am making a pattern from the shapes of the unifix cubes stacked together—not from the colors.”

The David H. Koch Childcare Center
Welcome to TCC Koch—The David H. Koch Childcare Center
The light-filled classrooms of MIT’s newest childcare center feature design elements drawn from the landscape and culture of the surrounding MIT campus and the Cambridge environs. The result is an inspiring state-of-the-art space for MIT children and families. Construction of MIT’s newest TCC facility was made possible through the generosity of MIT alumnus and Corporation member David H. Koch SB ’62, SM ’63, who provided a lead gift, and alumnus Charles W. Johnson CE ’55 and Jennifer C. Johnson. Koch recognized the demands facing parents at MIT who balance demanding carers with the responsibilities of raising young children.
